Solar Is for the Middle-Class

The solar industry is growing rapidly in the US. Solar installations since 2010 make up 80% of all solar in the US.

A study was just published that focuses on who is buying solar. Besides businesses like Walmart and Apple buying huge solar installations, homeowners are going solar in large numbers. The stale attack on solar is that it is just for the rich, but now the numbers are in and the fact is that the middle-class is the largest adopter of solar. The study looked at customers in Arizona, California and New Jersey and found that in all three States over 60 percent of solar customers earn between $40,000-$90,000. Also, the data suggests that no one demographic is going solar more than another. So, no matter who you are, if you are middle-class then solar is for you.

This new study should create a new image for solar. An image of solar as an accessible solution to high energy prices, utility monopolies and energy dependence.

Now that it is public knowledge that solar is for the middle-class you should feel encouraged to educate yourself more and find out if solar is right for you.
