Starting January 1, 2010, Seattle City Light will be raising its rates by 13.8 percent.
Seattle City Council’s Budget Committee recently voted 5-4 to support this rate increase and is scheduled to take a final vote November 23. The rate increase will take effect over two years, and helps to maintain City Light’s financial stability and strong bond ratings.
