Position Overview

We’re looking for someone with a Oregon General Journeyman or Limited Residential Electrical License. You will work out of our Portland office. Bonus points if you have a Washington electrical license as well.


  • DC/AC electrical runs, including work on roofs, tall ladders, and tight spaces
  • Mounting inverters and laying out other electrical components
  • Bending and routing conduit
  • Replacing service panels, adding subpanels, tying systems into the utility grid
  • Interpreting PV line drawings, product literature, and referencing the NEC
  • Communicating with utility companies, inspectors, and contractors
  • Representing A&R Solar in the field and being a point of contact for our customers
  • Maintaining a professional appearance and attitude at all times


  • Oregon General Journeyman or Limited Residential Electrical License
  • Current driver’s license
  • Comfortable with heights and working on roof tops
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Knowledge of commercial electrical, building, and roofing systems
  • Basic blueprint/schematic reading
  • Basic computer skills
  • NABCEP PV certification desired
  • OSHA 30 certification desired


  • $30-40/hr, depending on experience.
  • Medical/dental, 401k w/ employer match, annual education stipend, and a path to employee ownership
  • $5,000 signing bonus (this position only)
