Typical things to watch for on the performance of your system are going to be displayed on your solar pv inverter or on your monitoring website.

If you have a central inverter, it’s either going to be inside or outside your house, and make sure to walk by it once a month and take a look at what it’s doing in the middle of the day.

If you have a green light, green is good. It means that everything is working, and it’s performing as it should be.

If you have a red light, that’s bad, and it could be that there is a fault in the system, or a problem with the inverter. Make sure to give us a call if you see a red light during the daytime when it’s supposed to be producing.

There’s also typically an orange light, and that orange light could indicate that it’s just in sleep mode. If you see that in the evenings, there’s no problem there.

Mainly, you’re looking for what’s happening in the daytime when it should be performing. But if you see green, you’re good. Red, give us a call and we can tell you if there’s a problem with the system or not.

If you have microinverters, there’s typically not a whole lot of displays that you can see besides logging into your monitoring website and seeing if your performance is what would be expected.

If you have any questions on that, please give us a call and we can walk you through as there are multiple different monitoring platforms out there. We can give you a personal walkthrough on that.
