A&R Solar is following social distancing regulations in both Washington and Oregon, as well as published guidelines from the CDC and OSHA. That means that we’ve had to change the way we operate. As these requirements shift over the next weeks and months, we’ll be adapting and keeping health and safety front of mind.
Here’s how we are exercising an abundance of caution to keep our customers and employees healthy.
Typically, we like to visit your home during an evaluation. We usually take some readings, photos and measurements while on site. But these days, we want you to feel comfortable and safe. In gathering information to build an accurate estimate, we can:
- Do a complete remote / online evaluation of your home’s solar & battery storage potential. We may ask you to provide a small bit of assistance (if you can) to send over added photos to further increase accuracy. Or,
- We can perform a modified, COVID-safe site assessment. We would remain outdoors or in well ventilated areas (i.e. an open garage) to collect data and discuss elements of the process with you in person.
After gathering information from you, we can share and discuss your solar proposal via phone or video conferencing. After contracting, we would later perform a COVID-safe site visit to reconfirm all data before the installation.
In the Office
Most of our staff have been set up to work from home. For those who are in our offices, they are following CDC guidelines.
Jobsite Best Practices
Our crews mainly work outside. Even so, they are following the most recent guidelines from OSHA about working safely during the COVID-19. If they need to come inside, they have been provided gloves and masks to prevent contact with high-touch surfaces. We are telling any crew members who show symptoms of any illness to stay home and follow their medical provider’s advice.
If you are sick, have symptoms, or belong to a higher risk population, please let us know so we can take additional precautions or adjust our schedule.
We will maintain social distance with you at all times. Our installers will maintain a six-foot distance with each other whenever possible.
If you have any additional questions or concerns please let us know so we can do our best to address them. Should anything change we will let you know.
We are all in this together to protect those who are most vulnerable. Now more than ever, we appreciate your support and your business. If you know of anyone that would like to support the local business community, we always appreciate referrals.
