Turning a 120-year-old property into a new model for agriculture

BAINBRIDGE ISLAND, WASHINGTON

About this project

Heyday Farms on Bainbridge Island was in the middle of transforming their property, and they wanted to make a statement. The owners were turning the 120-year-old property into a new model for agriculture in the agritourism movement, also known as a “farm-stay.” A&R Solar developed a solar energy solution that would offset a target amount of electricity usage while adding to the aesthetics of the farm. The project was the winner of SunPower’s “Intelegant Award for Excellence.”
