Mercer Island Elementary School

MERCER ISLAND, WASHINGTON

About this project

Mercer Island Elementary School installed 100 kilowatts of solar on its roof to help offset energy use throughout the year. This project was carried out with Milne Electric, a company that A&R Solar has collaborated with in the past on a middle school in a nearby city. Installing solar on schools is one of the most rewarding places to place solar since it adds an educational opportunity for young students learning about the benefits of renewable energy.

“A&R was vital in helping the team understand what needed to happen for these buildings to receive solar, and made the transition very seamless through the planning phase. [The installation] was carried out by thoughtful, user friendly installers that provided a high level of quality. The quality is proven by the fact that this system has been reeling in solar credits for the owner for 5 years now without any issues!””
