Hails from: Chicago
Activities: I write and record music. My main instrument is electric guitar/synthesizer but I also play mandolin, bass, banjo, ukulele, and drums.
Volunteer work: I was a caretaker for a lady that became a very close friend of mine. She recently passed away, but her son and I are still very close. Fun fact: her son is the pianist for the progressive rock band Umphrey’s McGee, so I’ve been able to attend many music festivals and concerts that the band and associated acts have played. Most recently, we attended Phish at the Gorge.
Degrees: I have a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and am aspiring writer. I also have experience in IT troubleshooting, using a variety of software to troubleshoot system error. In this experience, I also learned network troubleshooting.
Fun fact: When I was in high school, I lived in China and studied at the International School of Tianjin. I met people from all over the world and fell in love with the country and its culture. The food was amazing.
Favorite nonprofit: There is a nonprofit started by one of my favorite bands and the community that supports them. The nonprofit is called Seed to Stage which raises money for aspiring musicians that do not have the resources to hone their talent. As a musician, supporting local artists is something I value.
