Position Overview

This position is responsible for driving the growth and profitability of the company through maintaining and following up on the sales-pipeline and conducting both in person and phone based sales calls. The ideal candidate for this position has an entrepreneurial spirit and is a self-starter with strong interpersonal skills and whose passions and values align with those of A&R Solar.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Focus on Business-to-Business sales channels, including but not limited to commercial end-users, general contractors, and local government agencies.
  • Attend industry related networking functions to expand B2B influence.
  • Self-generate opportunities.
  • Handle company generated lead with urgency.
  • Generate additional revenue through networking and referrals.
  • Co-create and implement annual and on-going marketing and sales plan for B2B clients. Assist in refinement of marketing kit for B2B clientele.
  • Manage the entire sales life cycle including initial contact, lead qualification, determining client product needs, conducting site assessments and closing business.
  • Provide excellent post-sale handoffs to the Project team to ensure implementation success.
  • Maintain Salesforce CRM records and other digital records as required.
  • Continuously engage with the Director of Sales to increase pipeline and activity visibility to increase collaboration and organizational support of your work.
  • Occasional travel to customer sites and to Seattle headquarters.

  • Meet and exceed quarterly quota of 125kW.

REQUIREMENTS

  • 2+ years of Oregon solar sales experience
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Salesforce and similar application-level technology
  • Strong interpersonal skills; math skills, a team player, persuasive negotiator, positive and innovative thinker
  • Detail oriented, well organized, and independently competent
  • Demonstrated ability to multitask and work in a fast –paced, entrepreneurial office setting, including tough decision processes, and rapid rates of change
  • NABCEP certification preferred but not required

COMPENSATION

  • Depending on experience. Includes base salary, sales commission, medical/dental, 401k w/ employer match, annual education stipend, and a path to employee ownership.
